WHERE LOCAL HISTORY MEETS HANDMADE HEART

Nestled in the heart of Crestwood, Missouri, The Loft Gift Shop lives inside a charming 1960s building with deep community roots. What began decades ago as a curated antique nook has grown into a joyful, nonprofit shop where history, creativity, and local craftsmanship come together.

 

The Loft’s earliest days were shaped by treasure‑hunting antiques and the imaginative eye of Dana Jones, son of one of the founding members of the Historic Sappington House Foundation. His creative vision helped spark the unique character that still defines The Loft today.

 

Now operated by the Historic Sappington House Foundation, The Loft is lovingly managed by co‑directors Dyann Dierkes, (a Sappington family descendant), and Jan Krumm, supported by a powerhouse team of 30 dedicated volunteers. Every purchase directly supports the Foundation’s mission to preserve and promote our community’s history, along with taking on the challenge of reconstructing the Joseph Sappington Log House.

Just up the stairs from The Barn Restaurant…follow the fairy lights to a space where history is honored through the art of giving, a place where fairies fly, bees buzz over homemade honey, and local craftsmanship fills every shelf with heart.
